B. BAKER 06/16/22 – On behalf of our late mother (Justine Gantt), her children and her extended family, we thank you for providing top level services during a distressful and heartbreaking time. Through difficult moments, where clarity and direction may have been uncertain, Mr. Alexander did not take advantage of our vulnerability. At times we felt helpless having not been in this position before but Don and staff were careful not to encroach upon the sensitivity of the situation. Throughout the process he gave us assurances and honored his word. They provided a complete list of services with a thorough explanation to help guide us through this process step by step. There was both sympathy and empathy displayed towards us. Alexander Funeral Home provided additional information, encouragement, sympathy cards and acknowledgements. Gerri was like a sister to me . We graduated from EOHS class72’ Fonte Bu. She was part of my family for over 50 years. We the Outlaw family, Lorene, Dorene, Sharon, and brother Charlie we will miss her presence terribly. I loved her a my own sister.My heart is so heavy and with deep regret we can’t make her home going services today because i am in the hospital. My sincere condolences to the entire Lott/Perry family.. Rip my sister your resting in his Gods holy temple…Love you forever my sista….🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿😔😔😔
Sis. Gerri Perry has run her race with patience and on 6/6/2026 went from earthly labor to reward with our Heavenly Father.
An active member, Sis. Gerri joyfully served along side her dear niece, Jo-Anna Spencer (Sunday School Superintendent) her niece Tamara and nephew Tyler, welcomed all and served as Church Clerk, Hospitality Ministry, in the Church Kitchen, Vacation Bible School and Community Days. She faithfully supported Pastor Vernon C. Miller when he preached at other church services until relocating from New Jersey to Florida, where she continued to remain active via Online media in the Sunday School Adult Class (Timekeeper), The Naomi Ruth Women’s Fellowship (founding member) and as worked as a Zoom Co-Host and Online Facebook faithfully with Sis. Annette Bennett Brown (Buffalo, NY) in the Media Ministry. Her ready smile and laughter will be truly missed, we pray to reunite around God’s Heavenly throne.
